The First of Many

“The first of many” it’s an interesting title to start a blog. Maybe. It’s a very ambiguous title. Most of everyone would assume that I meant the first of many blogs…well that’s true, to an extent. Lately, I’ve been thinking about doing a blog, and like some I’ve had a couple of blogs in the past. Most of them, like many fellow bloggers out there, end up being a “boo-whoo” story about how my life sucks, other people’s lives suck, or just people suck in general. Well, that has worked for a lot of bloggers out there, but I’m going to dare to be different. I’m not going to give a story about how my life sucks or anything like that. Instead, I’m going to focus on how other suck. I know that sounds very childish of me to cry and whine about other people. However, I don’t plan on stopping there. Instead of just dishing out complaints like my fellow bloggers, I will in turn give advice on how to avoid becoming those people or how to fix those problems. And if some of you think that this is just me ranting and raving about others, you’re right it is. But as a symbol of good faith I’m going to call out my own shit before I get into anyone elses. That’s right, I’m gonna put myself on blast before I get into anyone else. Before you can fix anyone else you have to start with yourself. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:3-5 “‘Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Confucius once said, “The real fault is to have faults and not amend them.” Maybe this blog will do me more good than the people who I will be spending the time ranting about. Until my next post, in the words of Jerry Springer “Take care of yourselves, and each other.”
